Easy to follow trails, Farm animals, variety of habitats woodlands, hay meadows, riverside, well surfaced paths, picnic areas, friendly staff, variety of ranger led activities available, covered study/lunch area ( bookable), tractor rides.

Ranger led activities include;- Habitat studies (mini beasts and or river dipping), Farm animals/ food and farming., an introduction to map reading and orienteering, River studies, art in the environment, seasonal nature walks, fun with words, world heritage site Pontcysyllte Aqueduct activity walk and boat trip. Practical conservation work.
Early years, Foundation Phase, Key stages 1 and 2. key stages 3+ also catered for.
activities begin with an introduction to the site and activity, followed by the outdoor field work. this is often complemented by a craft activity or tractor ride in the afternoon
All equipment required will be provided.
Groups of 15-30. all adults go free.
We risk asses our activities. Teachers are advised to risk asses their own groups. Activity risk assessments are available from the country park. A safety sheet is provided before any visit
Staff are welcome any time for pre visit.

Outdoor clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Wellingtons are required for river activities
Rangers are all first aid trained.
£3 per child half day £4 full day.for ranger led groups. admission free to site.
