When visiting Skeldale House students travel back in time and experience what life was like back in the 1940’s. The difference between past times and present day becomes clear while taking a look at the objects and items around. As most of the displays are hands-on students experience interactive and entertaining learning.
Our workshop sessions are interactive and hands-on, with original objects from our divers collection. Every workshop follows the National Curriculum requirements and is tailored towards the students learning needs. We offer facilitated Creative Writing courses, History sessions and Citizenship workshops. For older students the museum functions as a great case study in Business Management (Tourism & Leisure). A Curatorial workshop intrpduces the students to creativity and communication.
The workshop runs for one hour and include apractical section at the end. We advise teachers to include another hour for exploring the museum in their own pace.
We offer activities from Early Years Foundation Age to University level.
