Arrangements can be made for school groups to visit The Homewood throughout the year
Characterised by plain facades and interiors, flat roofed with large windows and white rendering on the exterior, the aesthetics of Modernism was considered progressive and in touch with the new machine age of motor cars and aeroplanes during the first quarter of the 20th century. Many people today live in 1930s semi and terraced houses, and in comparison The Homewood still remains an exciting house way ahead of its time and demonstrating the vision of its designer over 70 years ago.
