Tatton offers children a chance to live and work as they would have done in various periods the past in a thrilling and varied heritage context.
They can visit and study five historic sites – Parkland, Old Hall, Mansion, Gardens and Farm and participate in tours and hands on activities unavailable in the classroom.
Anglo - Saxon, Viking, Medieval, Tudor, Elizabethan, World War II and Victorian Living History Days; Themed Study Tours (Storytime and Rhyme, Christmas) Study Tours.
KS1 - 4
Victorian Living History at the Mansion – come dressed and named as a Victorian and spend a day as a servant in 1876, helping the household prepare for some important visitors; scrub floors, polish cutlery, make beds, set fires and bake scones and learn about your daily life in an aristocratic household.
We provide all learning materials and ask groups to come dressed in period with the help of a costume sheet and background notes.
Maximum group sizes 60 (Old Hall) and 48 (Mansion and Farm). Free teachers: 2 per 12 (KS1); 1 per 12 (KS 2-4)
