What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

Gets children out of the classroom and on to the water and learn about the history, beauty and wildlife of Devon

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

Students can feel what it is like to be on a boat, see what the cliffs and wildlife look like and expirience the briliance of the Devon coast

What are the activities?

Any thing from a short trip on the river through to an all day visit to a local town.

What is the age range of the activities?

All ages

Sample programme of the activities:

Cruise the River Exe to Topsham or sail the Jurassic Coast Line, take a day trip to Torbay or ride the speed boat along the coast line

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

We can provide worksheets and information sheets on request.
Alternatively we suggest activites are provided for during the trip such as wildlife recording or sketching

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

No minimum group. Maximum group is 200 children plus adults.
Free teacher ratio is 1:10

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

We have a risk assessment available

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

Yes

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

Refreshments bar on board. Purchase of items is at the discretion of the group leader

No but group sare requested to dress appropriate to the weather
