Forest park open frm 8am to dusk. Educational visits usually between 9am and 4pm.
Our forest is a fantastic outdoor classroom for a great variety of trips.
We offer a range of planned activited such as pond ipping, woodland art, shelter building, sustainability, all about trees, orienteering, bushcraft skills and team problem solving. We can also design other programmes, tailored to meet your requirements e.g. for BTEC students, A level field studies, adult learning grops etc
We cater for all ages form pre-school to adult.
We can offer ranger or self led activities each with resources and classroom space available.
We work with up to 30 learners per ranger (depending on group) and require that the staff to student ratio meets your LEA guidelines.
All our activities are fully risk assessed and the assessments are available for teachers when booking visits.
Yes. We're starting a new programme of teacher sessions including CPD courses.
There is a visitor cafe but no shop. The education service can offer gift bags for children.
All participants need to come in sensible clothes with study shoes and a waterproof coat.

Prices for self led visits start from £15 for equipment hire. A ranger is £65 for half a day and £90 for a full day. Forest Experience days cost £150.
