What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

An all weather venue which provides a safe, fully enclosed environment away from the usual classroom experience in which pupils can learn about local history and river systems. The trip is enhanced by professional and informative crew.

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

We have a teacher's resource pack linked to the National Curriculum.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

Maximum 50 people.We require that all schools and college groups are adequately supervised at all times whilst onboard. Each group should contain a minimum of one adult per ten pupils aged 7-16 years old, one adult per five pupils aged 4-7 years old. We reserve the right to refuse entry to groups with an inadequate number of accompanying adults. Accompanying adults are responsible for the behaviour of the students in their groups at all times.

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

We comply with all safety regulations dictated by the Maritime Coastguard Agency.
We can provide a 'School Safety Document' to assist you with your Risk Assessment.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

Packed lunches can be supplied.

Is specific clothing required?

Please ensure that the group is wearing suitable footwear and is equipped with wet weather clothes and/or protection from the sun.
