What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

In addition to creating and producing our own puppetry, Norwich Puppet Theatre hosts a variety of touring puppet companies from Britain and overseas, featuring the best of British and international theatre of animation for all ages. We also offer craft-based workshops for children and adults and we work with schools across Norfolk and Suffolk providing performances, craft-based workshops and puppetry talks/demonstrations in schools and at the Theatre.

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

We provide all materials free of charge for the puppet-making workshops.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

For workshops - minimum group size: 10, maximum group size: 60. No free teachers.
For performances - minimum group size: 10, maximum group size: 165. One free teacher per 10 students.

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

We can send you a risk assessment form for all workshops.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

Yes.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

We provide a small shop selling teas, coffees and cold drinks, as well as a range of sweets and ice cream and puppetry-related gifts.

Is specific clothing required?

No.
