What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

We cater for individuals to large groups. All relevant equipment is supplied. Each activity can be tailored to you specific needs.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

Benefits for the student is being outdoors in an area of great natural diversity. Fishing is a sport that can stay with the person for the rest of their lives and easily passed on to others. It's also a great group sport. This can aslo apply to Shooting, Archery and Bushcraft.

What are the activities?

Coarse Fishing, Bushcraft, Archery, Air Rifle Shooting, Clay Pigeon Shooting

What is the age range of the activities?

We cater for all ages from 5 to 105.

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

We supply all equipment to take part in the chosen activity. All you need to bring is good outdoor clothing suited to the current seasonal periods.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

We cater for individuals to groups of 30+. Teacher ratios vary but we suggest no more than 1 carer to 5 students. But please discuss this with us prior to your visit because it will vary depending on circumstances.

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

We have risk assessments in place.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

Yes teachers are very welcome to come and see the venue and try ou the activity with prior appointment.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

There is a shop on site selling hot and cold drinks and food.

Is specific clothing required?

Yes, outdoor clothing. This may vary from season to season so please call to discuss if any doubt.

Do you have first aid on site?

Yes we have several first aiders on site.

Are there any restrictions on photos, copyright etc?

No restrictions.
