Excellent residential experience for Schools at our country estate in Lockerbie, Scotland. Tailor made courses offered form an important part in the development of young people regardless of their background, culture, abilities or education.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

Benefits from our courses include development of inner confidence, self esteem, listening & communication skills, personal achievement, respect for others, team building, team bonding, social skills, leadership skills, managing risk, problem solving and development of new skills.

Teachers benefit by seeing their pupils in a different environment which will help to get to know each child better and to be able to motivate them better on their return to the classroom.

What are the activities?

What is the age range of the activities?

8 to 16 years.

Sample programme of the activities:

8 to 16 years.Monday: Travel to arrive at 2.30pm then Obstacle Course and Orienteering.
Tuesday: Canoeing, Abseiling, and Initiative Exercises.
Wednesday: Rifles, Low Ropes, Blind Trail, Climbing and BMX Bikes.
Thursday: Zip Wire, Archery, Hill Walk and then Disco & BBQ
Friday: Fencing, High Ropes then depart for school after lunch.

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

All outdoor pursuits equipment is provided. We liaise closely with the party leaders to help you plan effectively to get the most out of your school trip.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

Minimum group size 10 students, Maximum group size 200+. 1 free supervisory Teacher place for every 10 children

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

All risk assessments are provided.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

We do offer and strongly recommend teacher familiarisation. Please compare Manor Adventure by visiting other activity centres too!

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

Full Board provided. Our kitchens and canteen provide full Scottish breakfast, a substantial lunch and an excellent cooked dinner. We can cater for vegetarians, vegans and special diets.

Is specific clothing required?

Old warm clothing. A detailed clothing list is provided.

Do you have first aid on site?

Yes, we have first aid facilities and all Manor Adventure instructors are first aid trained.

Are there any restrictions on photos, copyright etc?

No.
