LEGOLAND® is the perfect setting for our Active Learning Programmes, all which are National Curriculum relevant and specifically designed to support the learning needs of children aged 5 to 13 years old.
As you would expect, all our workshops utilise the world's finest educational play materials: LEGO bricks! Workshops last about 45 minutes, are run by LEGOLAND Windsor's trained educational staff, and are adaptable for use by pupils with special educational needs.
New for 2011 – LEGO WeDo! Be one of the first to experience our new workshop. Pupils will get a hands-on learning experience that actively engages children’s creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through a brand new classroom robotics and programming system.
The workshops provide the tools and stimuli for active learning and place emphasis on creativity. Children are given the chance to design and build, using a range of different LEGO bricks and computer systems. The Primary and Secondary level workshops (5-13 years) offer solutions for Design & Technology, Science, Mathematics and ICT.
Developed by teachers and tested by children, the innovative approach will stimulate and challenge your pupils to learn, test and physically explore the subject being taught – not just ‘hands on’, but ‘minds on’, ‘eyes on’ and ‘bodies’ on as well!
LEGOLAND Windsor is a theme park dedicated to children aged 3-12 years old. With over 55 interactive rides, live shows, educational workshops, driving schools and attractions, all set in 150 acres of beautiful parkland, LEGOLAND Windsor is a unique school trip destination.
Be the hero of your very own adventure! Fly through the treetops to escape fearsome dragons, or join the Viking fleet and ride the churning rapids. Steer your own course on the Driving School and use laser guns to battle your way through an ancient tomb.
Everyone will be fascinated by the incredible LEGO models throughout the park. From comical camels to world landmarks and a yellow submarine, it’s amazing what can be built with millions of LEGO bricks.
There’s another new ride at LEGOLAND Windsor for 2011, and another adventure to be had as we invite you to explore Atlantis Submarine Voyage.
Take the plunge with this world-first LEGO submarine ride and immerse yourself in a magical underwater adventure. Join the LEGO divers on a fun fishy mission that the whole class will enjoy. Venture along a secret passage, hidden in the heart of LEGOLAND, on a journey to the bottom of the sea and see if you can spot all the amazing creatures and incredible LEGO models in your search for the ancient ruins of Atlantis
