Excellant instructors who are passionate about the skills they pass on, good teacher support.Bushcraft is about surviving and thriving in the natural environment, and the acquisition of ancient skills and knowledge to do so.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

We firmly believe that we have the right combination of skills and resources to provide the ultimate bushcraft experience. We look forward to passing on our knowledge and fascinating skills, which allows the student to broaden thier horizons, and develop a greater appreciation of the ever changing natural world.

What is the age range of the activities?

10 - 18yrs

Sample programme of the activities:

The course will begin at 9.30am (Students to arrive at 9am) and end at 5pm and the minimum age for this course is 10yrs. We will be walking within woodland areas so a reasonable level of fitness is essential for safety.The day will run as follows.
•Safe cutting techniques – knife, axe and saw
•Primitive and modern fire lighting techniques
•Trees / Plants- their nutrition and uses

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

We liase closely with the teacher to help you plan effectively, so that you get the most out of your visit

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

Min group of 10 students plus one free supervisory teacher. Maximum group size 20 with 2 free supervisory teachers

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

All risk assisesments are provided

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

We do offer familiarisation days on request

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

All overnight courses are fully catered. The 1 day bushcraft course is catered on request.

Is specific clothing required?

Old warm clothing. A detailed clothing and kit list is provided

Do you have first aid on site?

Yes all instructors are first aid trained
