What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

A fun packed day out for all ages, learn about The Ratite family, their incubating and hatching cycles as well as meeting some of our smaller animals in interactive led handling sessions. Packages can be made to suit, so make an enquiry today!

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

In depth learning about current day issues in the farming industry as well as a look into how both tourism and agriculture can work hand in hand.

What are the activities?

Tractor and trailer rides, animal handling sessions, animal feeding, riverside walk (SSSI), and sheep milking.

What is the age range of the activities?

preschool - further education

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

Minimum 5 students plus 1 Teacher free for every 5 paying students

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

Tea room is available, and the site has both indoor and outdoor picnic areas. We also have a very reasonable gift shop with plenty of pocket money lines.

Do you have first aid on site?

Basic first aid is available.

Are there any restrictions on photos, copyright etc?

No restrictions on video and camera use.
