Exploring Wordsworth - Key Stage 3-4
This workshop looks at William Wordsworth's 1802 sonnet 'Composed upon Westminster Bridge' from a variety of angles. Beginning with a consideration of the contrasts between London in 1802 and London now, the workshop moves on to consider Wordsworth's language and attitude to the city in his poem. As an addition to this workshop further poems can be explored that look at Wordsworth's drafting process and his attitude to children and childhood.
