What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

Dickens World is a unique indoor visitor attraction suitable for all ages ranges. Our interactive attractions lets students understand life in the Victorian times whilst enhancing their understanding of the great author himself. With fun activities such as the Great Expectations Boat Ride, The Haunted Man, Peggotty's 4D Cinema and the Britannia Theatre Animatronic show students can have fun whilst learning.

What are the activities?

A variety of talks and interactive experiences are available in addition to the visit.

The average visit time is approximately 3 hours to visit all aspects, which are based on free flow attraction, however schedules are available upon request.

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

All children are provided with an activity sheet upon arrival.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

The maximum children that we would recommend arriving at one time is 100 per half an hour. The student to teacher ratio, in one teacher per 10 children (teachers receive complimentary entry)

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

Dickens World has a risk assessment available however teachers are welcome to come risk assess the venue on their complimentary familiarisation.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

One teacher familiarisation per booking.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

Dickens World has a full restaurant and packages are available from £2.00 per child. We also have a gift shop which you can pre-arrange retail packs from £2.00 per child.

Is specific clothing required?

No specific clothing is required

Do you have first aid on site?

There are a minimum of two first aiders on site per day

Are there any restrictions on photos, copyright etc?

Photographs cannot be taken in various aspects of the attractions, such as the Britannia Theatre and other visual shows.

School Group Pricing

For groups of 15 or more paying visitors, Children 5-15 years £6.50 each, Students 16+ years £9.50 each (with valid student ID), Adults - 1 adult free with every 10 children/students - additional adults £10.25 each.
