Visitor centre Weekends 1.30pm - 4.30pm and Bromley school holidays Mon, Wed, Friday 1.30pm - 4pm
The env. education centre is a straw bale building with many environmental features including a living roof.It is based on a 200 acre Nature Reserve featuring a variety of habitats. It is also close to where Charles Darwin lived and where he carried out some of his scientific research with John Lubbock who previously owned High Elms .
The staff catering for school visits have qualifications in Ecology and Environmental science ,qualified teachers and many years of field work experience.

All materials for the visit are provided.
Packed lunches and appropriate clothing are all that the group needs to bring.
Teachers and adults with visiting groups are free.
1:5 children is suggested ratio
Maximum group size is 35 children. A levels Max is 18.
All actvities are Risk Assessed.
Teachers are welcome to come on a pre-visit after 3pm Mon-Friday.
There are two teaching rooms , cloakrooms and toilets.
There is a small cafe but groups are advised to bring own packed lunch unless pre-arranged food with the cafe. 01689 855439

Both teachers are first aid trained.
