What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

Birmingham Cathedral is Britain's only baroque style Cathedral. Situated in the city centre of Birmingham our experienced guides can offer tours incorporating the religious, architectural, social, artisitic and heritage aspects of the Cathedral and it's mission.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

Students will learn about history, religion, art and social context of Birmingham Cathedral as well as Christianity as a whole.

What are the activities?

Guided tours.

What is the age range of the activities?

Age 5 plus, tailored to meet the needs of the age and type of visitors.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

4-30 people. Teacher numbers are decided by schools in line with their own procedures.

Risk assessments are available.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

No.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

Schools can bring their own packed lunch or we can serve squash and biscuits. There is a Cathedral gift shop.

Are there any restrictions on photos, copyright etc?

Photography and video are not allowed during services or choir/organ practices.
