Pre-school to university students can all benefit from a visit to Avoncroft Museum.
All materials are provided by the museum.
There is no minimum group size. The maximum group size per session is 30 students. The free teacher ratio is 1:10.
The museum has risk assessments for all activities and teachers are encouraged to come on a pre-visit to complete their own risk assessments.
Yes, we offer free pre-site visits for teachers that have booked in advance.
A free lunch room is provided during inclement weather. There are a number of picnic benches and spaces in the grounds. The museum shop is open to all students and sells lots of items to help reinforce student learning on site.
Appropriate clothing for an outdoor site is required.
Schools are asked to provide a first aider as part of their group visit.
Photos are permitted. The school should seek permission from all parents before photos are taken. Any photos taken are for personal/school use only.
