Department:
Unknown
Year Group:
Key Stage 3
Venue Region:
France
Town:
Armentieres
Summary:
Good trip, lots of fun, easy for teachers, enjoyable for students
Tour Operator: Ardmore
Ardmore were really helpful, right up to the last minute. We ahd all of the information we needed, and were able to make changes even a few days beofre we travelled. Really reassuring to know that they were looking after us!
Venue: Armentieres
A really good place to visit with students as there is lots to see in the area, and it isn't too long a coach journey once you get over the channel.
Accommodation: Home stay
The accommodation was superbe. This was organised by the local organiser in Armentieres, and was really very good.
Transport: Tellings Golden Miller
It was really nice to have a coach driver who wa helpful and friendly. What a pity the loo on the coach didn't work as we had a lot of poorly children!
Benefit:
We had a wide variety of activites. Mostly we developed our language skills, coping strategies, social skills, and also quite a bit of the histroy anf culture of the area.
Plus points:
Boat trip on the swamp land around St. Omer
Minus points:
Shops all closed in St. Omer, so we couldn't do our last minute shopping trip there!
Overall:
