Summary:
Year 5 went to Kew Gardens to explore and experience the rainforest environemnt. Whilst there we were taken on a guided tour of the Palm house, where the children were taught about the different vegetation and products the rainforest produces. A classroom based activity then allowed the children to touch, taste and smell different offerings from the rainforest. The gardens themselves are amazing and the children enjoyed exploring and learning about all the different environments on show in the houses and grounds.

The lunch box is a fantastic indoor space for the children to have their lunch at tables with hand washing facilities, toilets and a variety of bins where the children have to think about what they are throwing away.
