Tour Operator:
Galina International
Made it all virtually painless. Helen was i/c all our arrangements and very quick to respond to any queries/alterations/
Venue:
Le Touquet / Azincourt
Le Touquet was an ideal base for visitng Azincourt and also having plenty to occupy students in the evening - we walked their legs off!
Accommodation:
Hippotel
Students accommodated in mini-suites for 4 - 5, staff rooms ideally allocated, meals fab. Hotel really geared up for school groups.
Transport:
Coachmaster
Driver was in training so supervisorcame too. Very efficient, cooperative, flexible, and friendly
Benefit:
This was a multi-subject, UFA based Summer Challenge. Galina met our needs perfectly. The students had been "fed" information about Henry V and the Battle of Agincourt and the quest was to find out "the truth". A really hands on experience and provoked much interest and energy. Age range from Year 7 to 6th form.
Plus points:
Le Touquet was an excellent base - our Head Teacher knew it well and became an excellent guide - lovely evening walks and well supervised beach.
The Azincourt Museum is very interactive and the guides informative and fun.
The Azincourt Museum is very interactive and the guides informative and fun.
Minus points:
It's always such a long coach journey for us to get anywhere, but that's life. It was a short (2 night) trip so not much time to find anything bad. The kids would say "not enough shopping"!
