Science Museum - Materials Gallery
A permanent, free gallery at London's Science Museum which we take Year 12 to for research for their Materials Presentation, one of the pieces of coursework in AS Advancing Physics.
Benefit:
Great opportunity to see lots of different materials with some historical and contextual background. Although we've used this trip for AS Physics, it would also be useful for the Materials option in OCR 21st Century GCSE Additional Applied Science.
Plus points:
*Free and easy to get to
*Group travel on the tube is £1.50 per 18 and under and £5.00 per adult, provided there are at least 10 of you and you stay together for the whole journey.
