Tour Operator:
Studytrips
We used Studytrips for our visit to Venice this year, and again they were very helpful, providing a very good price. They also arranged an evening meal, buffet style which was although not very Parisian perfect for what we needed.
Venue:
Paris
During our two day visit we explored Paris, seeing the Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, Pompidou Centre, Eiffel Tower for night photography on day one and Musee de Orsay, Louvre and Notre Dame on day two. It all ran perfectly even with one student on crutches.
Accommodation:
Comfort Hotel, Gare de l'est

Transport:
Eurostar
Eurostar are amazingly efficient. Such an easy way of getting around.
Benefit:
All students were able to produce work towards their exam question unit.
Plus points:
Everything about Paris is amazing. Even though it was the start of March we had good clear weather, and sunshine.
We walked from the Louvre to Notre Dame along the Seine river. Trees were carved head to root with messages of love. Very nice unexpected discovery.
Minus points:
The Louvre is impossible to maneuver around. They let in too many people to make it an enjoyable experience.
Electricians don't work weekends in Paris.
Galleries expect you to stay together as a school group, which makes it hard for individuals to get the best out of each place for them - we managed to work around this.
Getting on the metro with 25 people is sometimes problematic but workable.
