by jameswalters on 7th January 2012
Department:
Unknown
Year Group:
Sixth form
Venue Region:
Austria
Town:
Kitzbuhel
Summary:
Really enjoyed ita nd the pupils haven't stopped chatting about it. This may have even made me more popular in the classroom.... ;-0
Tour Operator: 321ski Ltd
Can't fault them - and I've been going on school trips for the last 26 years (God that makes me feel old....) ;-) Decent rep with good local knowledge.
Venue: Kitzbuhel
As a history teacher fascinated by historic medieval town. Unbelievably friendly locals (having been to Val D'Isere last year this was a contrast).
Accommodation: Salzburger
As you'd expect for a school ski trip - basic but comfortable. Perfectly adequate for our needs. Would return.
Transport: N/A
Delayed by one day at airport due to a huge dump of snow - oh well....
Benefit:
German, Citizenship, History, PHSE
Plus points:
Large network of skiing
Useful 123ski rep
Happy with location
Rich with evening activites
Fascinating Historical aspects
Minus points:
We were delayed for a day due to excess snow at the airport (Salzburg). We'd probably coach it next time.
Overall:
