Summary:
We went to visit Wicksteed Park as part of a Business project about the Marketing, aims and objectives and enterprise activities of
a business of our own choice. Wicksteed proved very interesting because it has shows, conferences, weddings, bands and catering
as well as being a traditional leisure park with rides etc. There was lots of business theory we could easily apply such as BCG matrix
(because of the varied services it has), PEST, SWOT. A really informative and enjoyable day - they will gear up the whole day to your
requirements. Students could also enjoy the parks open spaces - go on a few rides and eat at the restaurants on site. They also
shared lots of useful relevant information with us such as aims and objectives, strategy etc. Easy to get to - close to all major road
networks in the Midlands including A14, M1 etc. Well worth a visit. Cost - only travel - the talk was put on for free as was entry to
the park itself. If you take a coach though, they is probably a small entry charge.
